Youth Forum on Climate Change

From April 14-16, Hannah P, Amber U, Kim N and Hailey M, along with Ms. Massinon, participated in the Manitoba Youth Forum on Climate Change.  This event, organized by Assiniboine Park & Zoo, brought together students from across the province to explore the complexities of climate change and empower participants to take meaningful action in their schools and communities.
After qualifying to attend the forum, the group worked through a pre-forum project in which they surveyed students across grade levels regarding their perspectives on climate change.  They presented their findings at the Climate Change Youth Forum, then started working on an action project to reduce the environmental footprint of their school and community.  Stay tuned for more details regarding this action project as the group begins to work through its implementation.

The highlight of the event?  Visiting Assiniboine Park Zoo and seeing polar bears at the Journey to Churchill exhibit!
