On Monday, April 18 our senior high social studies students participated in the provincial wide Student Vote. Along with 242 other schools representing all 57 electoral divisions, students cast their vote! The youth of the province elected a majority Conservative government with 30 seats and the NDP as official opposition with 14 seats. The Liberal Party was elected in 11 electoral divisions and the Green Party won 2 seats.
The Manitoba Election held on Tuesday, April 19 had a Conservative Majority with the Conservatives winning 40 seats, the NDP winning 14 seats, and the Liberals closing it out with 3 seats. As with the Student Vote Federal Election, the students were right again.
