The Youth In Philanthropy of Carman Collegiate granted to the following organizations at the Carman Area Foundation Annual Fundraising Event Friday, April 15, 2016. Our group, whose main fundraiser our the Family Movie Nights, granted out $4 000. Recipients of the grants from the Youth in Philanthropy Group were:
1) Town of Carman Re: Boyne Regional Library Expansion
2) Carman Community Seniors Resource Council
3) Prairie Rose School Division Re: Carman Elementary School & Parent Council
4) Carman Memorial Hospital
5) Carman Palliative Care
6) Rainbow Residence Carman
7) Roland Pumpkin Fair
The Carman Collegiate Community Theatre received a $2000 grant from the Carman Area Foundation on Friday night. The grant will be used to purchase sound equipment. Over the past
year, multiple theatre user groups have requested equipment items to enhance sound
quality that we did not have.
The equipment to be ordered will allow these requests to be better
fulfilled and increase the professional sound quality that we can offer.
