Student Council will be doing a Mom's Pantry Fundraiser in an effort to offset costs for our student activities throughout the year. The fundraiser will take place from March 24 - April 11. Forms will be distributed to students today, and will also be available in the office.
Please make all cheques out to Carman Collegiate Student Council.

Philanthropy - The Force Awakens

The Force was with our Philanthropy group on Wednesday night.  Over 180 people attended our Family Movie night making this the largest movie night yet.  Thank you to all who attended.  Monies raised through the Family Movie Night go to the Carman Collegiate Philanthropy group who donate money to local charitable agencies.  The group have been working in collaboration with the Thomas Sill Foundation and the Carman Area Foundation.

Report Card Season

Grade 7 and 8 Report Cards will be sent home with students and emailed out this afternoon.  Grade 9 to 12 Report Cards will be sent home after the Spring Break on Wednesday, April 6.  Student conferences will take place on Thursday, April 7 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.  Teachers will be available to meet on Friday, April 8, but by appointment only.

Course Registration Evening on Monday

Grade 8 to 11 parents are asked to join us on Monday, March 14 for our annual course registration information evening.  Students received the presentation this past week and were given their information in order to register for courses.  The evening will be divided into two sessions. Session information is also available on the school website sidebar under Registration Guide.

7:00 pm - Grade 8 parents with students entering grade 9.  This session is to give information on the credit system and make parents aware of graduation requirements and what all the new codes mean.

8:00 pm - Grade 9 to 11 parents with students entering grade 10 to 12.  This session will give a short refresher on graduation requirements, what the codes mean, and what course offerings are available. Information will also be shared on University requirements and Career Development opportunities.

Mr. Phillips and Mrs. Pritchard will be available to answer questions as well.  Both presentations will take place in the Middle HE Room (room 14).

Arctic Exploration Day

On Friday, March 4, Mr. Spitznagel and several of our students travelled to the Fort Whyte center to partake in some Arctic Exploration exercises.  A great day was had by all.

Skating

Starting on March 9, our students will be travelling to the arena for skating during their PE class times.  Students need to have a helmet.  Open hockey will also be available for students.  Students will have information on when they are going.  Skating will continue until March 17.

Star Wars - The Force Awakens

The Philanthropy Group is pleased to present The Force Awakens.  Come out and enjoy the latest Star Wars movie on the big screen.  All welcome to attend.
