The school spirit award was first presented
in 1966. The school spirit award is
presented to the student or students who contribute behind the scenes and
without thought of reward, has a cooperative attitude with both their peers and
staff, demonstrates a genuine concern for others, and has a positive “lets get
things done” outlook.
All of our nominees are recognized for their contributions to school
activities. These include many hours working
on school projects or clubs such as the philanthropy and yearbook, assisting
with helping set up for sporting events, timing and scorekeeping, coaching,
helping with student council activities, working in the theatre on drama props,
or as part of the lighting and sound crews, and just being helpful when needed
and called upon. These students have
combined for hundreds of hours to make the events we run run smoothly, and to
contribute for the good of our students and community. Nomination for the School Spirit Award are:
Matthew
K, Rylan M, Vanessa M, Tyson
S, Madi
S, Reggie S, Savannah W
Our School Spirit Award recipient for this
year was voted on by our staff to be shared between two deserving nominees. These two nominees, when we look at their
combined efforts, are involved in athletics, theatre, student council,
yearbook, and anywhere else that people are needed or they are asked to be. Congratulations to this year’s recipients of the School
Spirit Awards – Rylan M and Blaine H.
