Throughout the month of May, grade 10 students participated in the Agriculture in the Classroom Manitoba Gen Ag Program. This exciting new program allowed students to explore careers in the agriculture industry and create a business case for marketing these careers (aitc.mb.ca). The program work was integrated into their Science, Geography, Agriculture and Life Works courses. Two teams from Carman Collegiate were chosen as the finalists and presented their marketing pitch to a panel of judges this week.
Congrats to the GAAL marketing team (Gabrielle M, Amber U, Linda P, Caressa V, Diana U, and Ashley D) for winning first place! They were awarded $500 to implement their proposed marketing project which includes putting on a Agriculture career fair targeting teen girls.
