On Thursday, November 26, Biology 30 students participated in a Health Careers day where they visited various health locations around the community. Students had the opportunity to participate in concurrent workshops that focused on different human biology topics, including mental health, sports injuries/concussions, lab & x-ray analysis, dentistry, athletic therapy, cancer care, and public health. Thank-you to all the local groups and businesses who helped put on a great event!
Feedback from a survey the students did after the Bio / Health Day showed that the students had a wide range of interests from the day, over half now had an increased level of interest in pursuing a health related career, and that they highly recommended that this day continue to be offered to students.
