On Tuesday, November 17, Carman Collegiate grade 9 and 10 students welcomed Brent Thiebert, an MPI Friends for Life speaker to our school. Brent shared his poignant story of the fateful night that forever changed his life. At the age of 20, Brent chose to drive impaired and caused a collision that took the life of one friend and critically injured another. Years later, Brent is still coping with the personal and legal consequences of impaired driving. Brent has been speaking to high school driver education students for several years and is an extremely effective communicator. He really helped our students understand that all it takes is one bad choice to tragically change your life forever.
