Young Blood for Life

"New blood! New life! New beginning!" This new beginning starts from a single drop of blood that can give someone a new chance. Blood donation is a very important process of everyone's life. It benefits both donor and receiver in ways that renews the blood in your body and at the same time it could potentially save a life.
Prior to donating blood, one must have a good meal, stay hydrated, and bring identification to the clinic. It only takes about 8-10 minutes to actually donate the blood, but the entire process takes a lot longer. The only thing a first time donor isn't allowed to drink afterwards is something hot. If you're thinking of donating blood, you can see the full list of restrictions and requirements on the website blood.ca
Young blood for life is a group of students that encourage other students to donate blood. Quinton, Bobby, Allen, Kara, and Chelsey started the young blood for life group at Carman Collegiate to promote blood donation to the grade 11-12 students and staff in the school. We, the young blood for life group, would like to inform everyone that on Friday, February 27, 2015, a blood donation clinic will be held at the Carman Community hall from 2-7 pm. A pizza party will be held for the students and staff who donate. We are inviting anyone to come and donate blood. Remember this is for a good cause and your blood could save a life.
