Philanthropy Group Presents Money at Foundation Gala

Representatives from the Carman Collegiate Philanthropy Group attended the annual Carman Area Foundation Gala on Thursday April 10^th. Sierra W. and Emilie P. attended the banquet and presented cheques on behalf of the group to Boyne Regional Library, Carman Memorial Hospital, Carman Seniors Resource Center, Child and Family Services of Central Manitoba Foundation, and Sperling Community Club. Total donations were $4500.00 to go along with $200.00 of funding provided for the Christmas Cheer Board earlier in the year. It is the most successful year in the group’s 4 year history thanks in large part to the partnership created between the Carman Area Foundation, the Thomas Sill Foundation, and Carman Collegiate. The six year agreement will result in $15,000 in community funding and the creation of a Youth In Philanthropy Fund within the Carman Area Foundation.

Chance 2 Grow Plant Sale on Now

Mr. Shindle is selling plants (Strawberry Wine Petunia Fuseables) in support of the CFS Foundation’s “Chance 2 Grow” fund. The fund pays for underprivileged children to participate in a range of activities that may otherwise be out of reach financially. These activities include music lessons, art classes, dance lessons, and athletic programs among others.
