Philanthropy Group Presents Money at Foundation Gala
Representatives
from the Carman Collegiate Philanthropy Group attended the annual Carman Area
Foundation Gala on Thursday April 10th. Sierra W. and Emilie P.
attended the banquet and presented cheques on behalf of the group to Boyne
Regional Library, Carman Memorial Hospital, Carman Seniors Resource Center,
Child and Family Services of Central Manitoba Foundation, and Sperling
Community Club. Total donations were $4500.00 to go along with $200.00 of
funding provided for the Christmas Cheer Board earlier in the year. It is the
most successful year in the group’s 4 year history thanks in large part to the
partnership created between the Carman Area Foundation, the Thomas Sill
Foundation, and Carman Collegiate. The six year agreement will result in
$15,000 in community funding and the creation of a Youth In Philanthropy Fund
within the Carman Area Foundation.
